In There’s Got To Be a Better Way, I describe my journey tapping into a bigger purpose for my life. I dive deeper into these ideas at speaking engagements, showing you how every experience in your life connects.
How to be Powerful and Sensitive
Designed for mid-level managers and up, Karen sparks an engaging and surprising conversation on one of the unspoken “soft-skills” of leadership and performance: self-care. Leadership and management can often be lonely and depleting, especially for those who try to live up to expectations rather than showcasing who they really are. Karen shares personal experiences, from inspiring successes to epic failures, and reveals how she created a personal user’s manual to safeguard herself from burnout.

Connecting the Dots: An Unexpected Journey of Discovery
Borrowing from Steve Jobs’ renowned commencement speech at Stanford, “you can’t connect the dots looking forward,” Karen tells her lifelong story of connecting the dots through volunteerism, service, and horsemanship. In this talk, Karen shares intimate details of how she reignited a creative spark that had nearly gone out, leading to both personal and professional transformation.

Can you tailor your talk to focus on our organization’s values?
Yes, absolutely. Reach out and we’ll set up a meeting to discuss customization.
How long are your talks?
All talks are crafted to meet your agenda and needs; they can be as brief as 15 minutes and as long as a full-day guided, interactive experience.
How much do you charge?
As all engagements are designed specifically for you, my fee varies. Once we figure out the level of personalization you need, desired length of the talk, location, and travel, we’ll find a fee that works for both of us.
Do you accept pro-bono requests?
Absolutely, but I’m selective. I consider pro-bono requests on a case-by-case basis.
How long in advance do we need to secure you as a speaker?
Depending on the scope of the engagement and the location, I generally need 4-6 months to get an event on my calendar. For events in Southern California that require minimal travel, I may be able to accept last minute invitations.
